Terms of Service

Taxi Akatemia is an online service that helps you prepare for the Finnish taxi-driver licence exam (taksinkuljettajan ajolupakoe). It is provided by Remans Oy (business ID 3608693-4, registered address c/o Mohammad Mushfiqur Remans, Arkkitehdinkatu 5 D 12, 33720 Tampere, Finland), the data controller, and is available at https://remansoy.com. Taxi Akatemia is an independent study service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Traficom, Ajovarma, or any other Finnish authority.

All practice questions and mock exams are study material only. They are not official exam questions, and completing them does not guarantee that you will pass the official exam. Always follow the current instructions and requirements of the competent authorities.

To use the service you must create an account and provide accurate information, including your name and email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.

The service is intended for people aged 16 or over who are preparing for the Finnish taxi-driver exam. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Please notify us at m.r.remans@gmail.com without undue delay if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.

Your access is granted for personal, non-commercial study only. You may not share, sell, lend, or otherwise give others access to your paid account or the content.

You may not scrape, copy, harvest, republish, or otherwise extract the questions, explanations, or other materials, whether manually or by automated means.

To protect the service we may use technical and security measures, including hashed device and session identifiers and credential-sharing signals, to detect and prevent misuse. Breaching these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your access.

Prices are shown in euros excluding value added tax (VAT). Applicable VAT is calculated and added in Stripe Checkout based on your billing information. The service is offered as time-boxed access packages of 3, 7, 15, and 30 days.

Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We never store full card numbers; we retain only your subscription status and Stripe identifiers.

Each package grants access for its stated period. If a package is set to renew, the applicable renewal terms are shown before you purchase. You can manage or cancel renewal, and contact us at m.r.remans@gmail.com for help. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not create a right to a refund for a period already started, subject to the withdrawal rules below and your mandatory statutory rights.

As a consumer in a distance contract you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Finnish consumer law (Kuluttajansuojalaki) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Because access to the digital service begins immediately, you expressly request that performance begin during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun (that is, once access has been provided).

All content in the service, including questions, explanations, text, and design, is owned by Remans Oy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use the content for your own exam preparation for the duration of your access.

You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or make the content available to others, and you may not scrape or otherwise extract it, except as expressly permitted by mandatory law.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Study material is intended to help you prepare and does not guarantee any particular result in the official exam.

Official exam requirements and content may change. You are responsible for following the latest guidance of the competent authorities (such as Traficom and Ajovarma).

The service does not constitute legal, professional, or official advice.

To the extent permitted by law, Remans Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

We may update these terms and the service from time to time, for example to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. We will make the current terms available in the service, and material changes will be communicated by appropriate means.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time by contacting m.r.remans@gmail.com. Data is retained as described in our privacy notice and as required by Finnish accounting law (Kirjanpitolaki).

These terms are governed by Finnish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly with us, first contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services. You may then refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi).
